Accessibility statement
We want the shop to be usable whether you are on a phone with a screen reader, a laptop with a keyboard, or standing in our doorway. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML headings, lists and landmarks so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- Keyboard-operable navigation with a visible "skip to content" link.
- Text and background contrast chosen to pass AA for body copy and large text.
- Form fields with real labels, plus error and success messages that are not colour-only.
- Descriptive link text rather than "click here", and alternative text on meaningful images.
- Pages that work without JavaScript for reading; scripts are progressive enhancements only.
- Responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 px.
Known limitations
- Third-party advertising and embedded maps are outside our direct control and may not meet every criterion.
- Some older product photographs may have thin alternative descriptions that we are still rewriting.
- The in-store hat bench is reachable without stairs, but the fitting stool is fixed-height; ask and we will bring a chair over.
Tell us about a barrier
If something stops you, email [email protected] with the page and what happened, or call +1 (716) 555-0142. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix access barriers that are within our control promptly.
Alternative access
Prefer to order by phone or ask someone to read a page to you? Call +1 (716) 555-0142 during opening hours and we will take the order over the phone.
